15. Curtis Mayfield: American soul, R&B, and funk singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. He first achieved success and recognition with the Impressions during the Civil Rights Movement of the late 1950s and 1960s, and later worked as a solo artist. He won 2 Grammy Awards, but had several nominations from the music institution and was honored by a lot of artists. Mayfield released 19 albums, between 1970 and 1997.
